Howdy Stitchy Peeps!
So...I decided it was time for a little change! For the past three-ish years the Weebly platform has been my original blogs home and it was a great learning experience. But recently I noticed that Weebly was more interested in websites than blogs and they had begun taking away more of my capabilities. It became very frustrating! I had intended to wait until the first of the year to switch over to Blogger/Blogspot...a new year, a new home type of thing...but after my last blog post I decided to make the switch! The posts over on my original blog will stay for now or at least for as long as Weebly will let me, and for the next few months I will continue to reroute traffic over to here from Weebly.
Now...let's chat about some stitching!
Your probably going to shoot me...I've done no quilting for myself this past week like I promised! I have been busy quilting for clients this past week. But I double dog promise that next week I will have a new quilting project to show you!! The Autumn Love Sew Along, by Lori Holt of Bee In My Bonnet, starts on Monday and I'm super excited to get stitching up some cute blocks! I know lots of people have started the piecing part of the quilt, but I decided to wait until I get some of the applique blocks stitched and see what direction color wise I want to go. I'm going to try my best to keep up with the blocks because sometime early Fall her Vintage Christmas Book comes out and there will be a sew along for that as well! So much quilty fun!!
I did have a stitchy finish this past week!

I finished Happy Harvest by Country Cottage Needleworks! I know I say this about all my finishes...but I love it!! I've been in a Autumn kind of mood lately...maybe it's because of the hot Summer days, mixed in with wildfire smoke that has me longing for cool Fall days.
I stitched Happy Harvest on 32 Count linen that I tea/coffee dyed. I also changed out some of the colors: I used CC Pumpkin Harvest, CC Weeping Willow, CC Hickory Sticks and CC Apple Cider instead of the Weeks threads listed.
So with a finish...there's also a new start!! I decided to start work on Lizzie Kate Halloween Rules! I'm stitching it on 32 count Vintage Country Mocha Lugana with all the called for DMC Threads. I only made one change, I think...and it was for DMC 413, which I used in the dark tombstones. The Vintage Country Mocha fabric is absolutely perfect for this project, the marbling is spot on for a spooky Halloween piece! I'm having a lot of fun stitching this one!!
Well I guess that about wraps it up for me this week! If you are new to my blog, welcome! If you've found your way over from Weebly...I'm so glad to see you!! Make sure you subscribe/follow me so you don't miss a post! If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below! Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I wish you a very Happy Stitchy Week Friends!
