Happy Weekend!! ~ Weekly Stitchy Update ~ August 25, 2018

Howdy Stitchy Friends!

I hope your week has been a good one and that you've gotten lots of stitching time!  My week ended up being a very busy one with client quilts!  Lots busier than I expected! So I did get some quilting time in...just not for me this week.  I know last week I promised that I'd have a new project to show you, but there just wasn't enough hours in the day and I'm not sure next week will yield any quilty goodness either....because all the back to school shopping will happen next week!  I'm planning on shopping sales, and that means multiple trips as I get my kiddos ready to start a new school year!  However, I know once the kids are back in school I will have lots more time to work on the quilt projects that have been slowly piling up and waiting for me!

So....

I started off my week with a small batch of tomatoes to can!

I love canning my own stewed tomatoes...they are the absolute best!  They taste so delicious in my Spaghetti Sauce (which is really why I can them) and are great to have for various recipes that call for diced tomatoes. I have another batch of tomatoes that are close to being ripe, so I hope to can another batch this coming week.  I like to have at least 40+ jars canned for Winter.

Now for some stitching...

I added some new Q-Snap Grime Guards to my Etsy Shop yesterday evening!

You can now find Halloween, Autumn and a couple of Christmas ones!  I plan on adding more next month after I pick up some new fabrics and elastic!

I made a little more progress on Halloween Rules by Lizzie Kate!  It's soooooo Spooktastic!! The block I'm working on right now is Scare A Crow...isn't the sunflower the cutest!  Love!!  I'm stitching it on 32 count Vintage Country Mocha Lugana with DMC Threads.  Really enjoying this stitch and I can't wait to have it finished for Halloween!  I kinda know how I want to finish it, but it will depend on if I can still find the wood.

Well I guess that's all the stitchy news I have for this past week.  I hope you are getting lots of stitching and quilting time in!  Thank you so much for stopping by my corner of the blogging world!  See ya next week!

Happy Stitching
