Tulip Wreath!

Hello Stitchy Peeps!

Lately I've been in a Spring kinda mood.  I think a lot of it has to do with the grey and gloomy skies that seem to cloak my corner of the world...I'm ready for longer days and sunshine!  Yesterday while flipping through YouTube I noticed that The Real Housewives of Cross Stitch had uploaded a tutorial for a Tulip Wreath...so of course I immediately watched it!

The Tulip Wreath was fast and so very easy!! No hot glue gun needed!! Lucky for me I was planning on popping into Michael's while my kiddo had guitar lessons, so I could pickup the needed supplies.

I think it took me all of 15 minutes to assemble my Tulip Wreath this morning!  It turned out so AWESOME!! Honestly you could use any type of flower for this wreath...but I just figured with Spring coming and I don't have a wreath yet for the season, putting tulips on mine was the way to go!

If you are interested in making one for yourself...did I mention it was super simple?...I'll put the link below..

Howdy Stitchy Peeps!

Today's video didn't go as I planned..I accidently deleted my original video and had to reshoot super quick before my kiddos got home from school!  But I figured out where I went wrong and will make sure not to do again!

In no particular order...

Glitter Village by Country Cottage Needleworks: I finished the 3rd house in the series and am stitching them all together on 32 count Raw/Silver Belfast with most of the called for Classic Colorworks floss.  I switched out CC Bamboo for DMC 3865 and DMC E3821 for the called for metallic braid.

Spring ABC's by Little House Needleworks stitched on 32 count Vintage Country Mocha with DMC Threads.  Using DMC White instead of Ecru...changed DMC 611 to DMC 3862

Queen of Freedom by Mirabilia Designs stitched on 32 Vintage Sahara Belfast with all the called for DMC, Mill Hill Beads and Kreinik Threads.

Simply Meant to Be by Heaven and Earth Designs stitched on 18 count Aida with all the called for DMC Threads.

Winter Winds ~ February 12th, 2019

I know it's been awhile since I've done a regular blog post...I meant to!  My last post was somewhere around Christmas time and I'd had every intention of returning with updates each week.  But the best laid plans are always the first to change!

Last week I had a couple of stitchy finishes!

Winter Wind by Prairie Schooler..
I absolutely love how it turned out!!

It's stitched on 32 ct Lugana that I tea/coffee dyed with the called for DMC Threads. I mounted it onto a piece of mat board that I covered with batting, then I cut another piece of mat board and covered it with some cute gingham fabric.  I attached both pieces together with Aleene's Tacky Glue.  Then I painted a frame that I found at Hobby Lobby, using red acrylic craft paint and brown antiquing wax.  Once all that was finished, I attached washers and magnets!  It looks super great hanging up in my dining room!

My second stitchy finish..
This is Love is in the Air by Le Chalet des Perelles that I stitched on 32 count Cashel with DMC Threads and Classic Colorworks Rosy Glow.  Such a fun little stitch!  Did I mention it's a freebie?! Just do a quick Google Search for it and you'll be sure to find it! Or scroll to my last post and click the link for it there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Stitching,
