Hello Spring...a finish!

A Happy Good Afternoon to you!  I'm so excited to have another little finish this month! I started Hello Spring by Plum Street Samplers on March 17th and put in the last stitches, very late last night, on March 23rd!
I love it on the piece of Lakeside 36 count Tarnished Silver linen that I ordered from 123 Stitch. I stitched 2 over 2 with mostly DMC Threads and one GAST in Maple Syrup.
The bunny was stitched with the Maple Syrup and I love the subtle variegation
Everything else was stitched in DMC.  I did swap out two of the called for DMC...3363 instead of 3011 and 3712 instead of 950. I also changed the medium sized flowers to DMC 3078 instead of the called for Pebble Beach.

I'm very eager to fully finish it!  It will replace Hello Winter on my seasonal wooden box. You might have noticed that I left of the words Hello Spring...I did it as a personal choice. I just like how it gives it a whimsical look to the stitched piece.

Well I'm off to fold a hill of laundry and begin cutting out more project bags for my shop! See you soon!

Happy Stitching!

Spring Has Come!! ~ March 20, 2019

Happy Spring Equinox! Our weather here has made a complete turnabout, yesterday it was 79! It's been so wonderful these last few days seeing blue skies again and having the back door open to enjoy the sounds of the returning birds.  So with the beginning of Spring, it was the perfect time to finish a little something stitchy!

I started Spring Has Come by The Prairie Schooler on March 1st and put in the last stitch on March 17th!  I'm super delighted with how it turned out and it looks awesome in the red box frame.  I mounted it onto to 2 pieces of mat board and attached magnets to the back. I also changed a lot of the thread colors!  Below is a list of the DMC threads I swapped in..

422 changed to 3862
3051 changed to 987
3746 changed to 3041
3809 changed to 931
3830 changed to 3328
3862 changed to 433
My house was stitched with DMC 347 & 3328

I stitched it on 32 count mystery Lugana that I tea/coffee dyed.

Of course I just had to add a sweet little hen and her cute chicks!  I'm so happy with how it turned out!

That about wraps it up for me!  My adorable nephews will be here soon and I'm excited to hang with them for a bit!

Until Next Time!

A Little Bit Of Progress ~ March 16th, 2019

I thought I'd pop in and do a quick little blog post!  I'm trying to be better about posting here more frequently, as my blog does act as sort of a diary for me.  I haven't done a single stitch yet today.  My Dad needed help cutting down a few trees and we all pitched in to help!  Now that that's finished for the day, I have a few project bags that need to be finished for my Etsy Shop...dinner..then it'll be stitching time!

So my progress on Spring Has Come by The Prairie Schooler...

This was taken at the beginning of the week...

This is my progress yesterday...I'm nearly finished!
I just have to stitch the rest of the lawn, with letters...then connect the side and bottom borders.  It's so close!  I'm stitching this on a 32 count Lugana that I tea/coffee dyed, with all DMC Threads.  I can't wait to have this one FFO'd and hanging up on the wall!  I'm really hoping that I can get it finished this weekend...so, fingers crossed!

That about wraps it up for me!  Hope you are having a great stitchy weekend!

Happy Stitching

Spring Smalls ~ Lizzie Kate

Howdy Stitchy Peeps!

I honestly want to post more blog posts...but time is just slipping away!  Maybe if I set a certain day of the week to blog, I can be a little better about posting here.  Especially since I often refer back to a post to see what I was using or working on during a specific time...so I guess this blog is more of a stitching diary.

Over the past two weeks I've been working of Spring Time stitching!  I think a lot of it has to do with our gloomy, grey, snowy weather.  Some of my house is still decorated for Winter, but hopefully over this weekend and a much needed cleaning...I will bring out more of my Spring Time decor.  One of the projects I've been working on is...Lizzie Kate Spring Smalls!  I stitched it on a piece of 32 count mystery linen with all DMC Threads.

I went ahead and finished it using a piece of mat board cut to the size of my easel.  I added a piece of gingham ribbon across the bottom and made a cute little bow!  I topped it off with the sweetest little painted egg button that my very wonderful friend Reitha gave me.
I love how it turned out!  It so cute and looks perfect with my three tiered tray.

The weather here hasn't been very Spring like..we are still getting snow!  Last week the kiddos had a snow day and it snowed enough for them to build a snowman!
We only got an inch-ish..but it was so pretty!  Molly had to go out and immediately investigate...she loves snow(and playing in the snow) but hates rain or water....silly dog! LOL!

I'm off to make some dinner...Thanks so much for stopping by!
